ZuLander Project - V8 Range Rover / Vitara Cross
Project ZuLander is Jon's project 4x4, the brief being to re-body his discovery v8i and turn it into a more capable offroader better suited to eventing
The Discovery's original body was big and got battered about at punch events, so the new body needed to be narrower and tougher, so a plan was sketched up of a body based around the top half of a Suzuki Vitara Shell, wrapped in a strong outer rollcage, with the cage forming the front and rear ends of the truck. we're taking advange of the truck been stripped down to rub back and paint chassis and axles, and to replace all bushes and suspension components.
